Hello!

My name is Rex Baylon and I am a fledgling Tesol Teacher. I don't have a background in Linguistics, but I spent five years in South Korea teaching English as a Second Language to middle school and elementary school students. Recently, after quite a lot of work I was accepted into the MA Tesol program at Teacher's College, Columbia University. My purpose for this blog is to record my thoughts, my dilemmas, my sporadic successes, and my obsession with Linguistics (Applied and Academic) and hopefully somehow quiet that little voice in my head telling me that I don't know what I'm doing and to give up. This blog is personal and may not have any worth to anyone but myself, but that's fine. Just as Marcus Aurelius wrote the Meditations  as a way to declutter his mind and organizing his thoughts this blog is my attempt to do just that for myself.
